FTCC Vs. Central Carolina CC

SANFORD – Fayetteville Tech mounted a second-half comeback that fell short as the Trojans fell to Central Carolina Community College 82-67 on Monday. It was Fayetteville Tech’s first men’s basketball game since the school eliminated the program in 1974.

Central Carolina took command in the first half and built a 43-32 lead at the break.
Jared Gunter poured in 25 points to lead Central Carolina. Dashaun Boswell added 19 and Aaron Meredith 13.
Trevor Lewis and Tristan Rodriguez scored 20 apiece to lead Fayetteville Tech. Kenny Walters added 12.
Walters pulled down six rebounds for Fayetteville Tech.
Fayetteville Tech, 0-1, plays its home opener Tuesday at Reid Ross Classical School. The game begins at 7 p.m. against the Mount Olive junior varsity.
